As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling a suite of Control Gap services to small, medium and enterprise size customers within a defined territory and/or customer segment. This role requires someone to be highly motivated, is a team player, has a hunter mentality and is passionate for serving customers. Ideally with 3+ years "Outside" sales experience, you have a track record of success and have developed the ability to deliver strong results by leveraging your excellent communication skills, funnel management expertise and commitment to ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.



  • Position and promote value proposition for Control Gap Services and business strategies, and create the demand that makes deals happen
  • Actively prospect for new small, medium and enterprise business customers
  • Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Employ effective needs analysis techniques and negotiation skills to build and drive opportunities
  • Effectively manage customer expectations and process documentation after completion of sale
  • Collaborate within team members and other departments
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and tactics that maximize opportunities within the customer environment
  • Promote Control Gap's reputation as a community ambassador, supporting events and building community relations
  • Participate in team meetings, sales and product training and ongoing mentorship
  • Generate reports on new sales, target achievements, issues for management
  • Provide and receive feedback as part of continuous improvement process



  • 3+ years' experience in a sales role within a dynamic fast paced organization
  • Proven work experience as a sales representative or account manager
  • Self-starter with the ability to build executive relationships
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Entrepreneurial-minded sales professional
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity Industry an asset


Education and Work Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in selling consulting, advisory or equivalent services
  • Proven work experience as sales administrator or sales support
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in selling in Cybersecurity is an asset

Industry Certifications:

  • Certification in Marketing, Sales or relevant field is an asset
  • Certified Inside Sales Professional (CISP), or equivalent is an asset
  • Industry certifications in the Information Security/Audit is an asset

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with various information security concepts, including; network and wireless security, application security, industry best practices, systems hardening, data encryption, data privacy, incident response, business continuity, physical security, risk assessments, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, file integrity monitoring, log monitoring, and documented security governance controls (i.e. policies, processes, standards, procedures)
  • Familiarity with as much of the following, or the eagerness to learn and to be proficient in the above areas
  • Familiarity with the payment ecosystem as well as a variety of security products and technologies
  • Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Reach out to customer leads through phone, email as required
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
